Students enrolled in the St. Linus Religious Education program are allowed to participate on a case by case, sport by sport, basis (subject to availability). Religious Education participants must also meet specific rules set by the Southside Catholic Conference that pertain to Religious Education participation/eligibility. All questions for this compliance are addressed by the Athletic Board President.

The funds raised by the Athletic Club are crucial in maintaining our low registration fees. Unlike many neighboring schools, we are proud to offer:

• Free admission to basketball and volleyball games

• No court fees

• No annual uniform fees

• Personalized uniforms for varsity sports, provided at no cost to families

Furthermore, in recent years, these fundraising efforts has enabled us to make significant improvements to our facilities, including:

• New gym scoreboards

• New lighting for the soccer field and gym

• Enhanced gym security with new doors

• Door wraps to show our school pride 

• Complete renovation of the soccer field to provide our students with a great field for games and gym class

• Assistance in purchasing air conditioners for classrooms

• New tables and chairs for the school

We believe that this approach provides a valuable opportunity for our community while minimizing the financial burden on our families (and the chance to win substantial prizes in the raffle).

Parents will be expected to contribute time and service in support of the team and the SLAC athletic program. The program is dependent upon everyone’s help and support to maintain a high level of quality and success. Parents are asked to assist as scorekeepers, timekeepers, money or ticket takers, refreshment sellers, to monitor crowd control, to help with field/court set up, clean up, and to support fundraising initiatives.
